Ham-Orange Rice

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • About 2 cups small Chicagoland Ham pieces
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon finely shredded orange peel
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in medium skillet.
  2. Add onion and green pepper and cook, stirring, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add Chicagoland Ham and brown sugar, stir and continue cooking 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Add remaining ingredient, except salt.
  5. Mix well and heat gently.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
