Ham and Succotash Soup

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 cup chopped celery leaves or 1 tablespoon dried celery leaves
- 2 cups finely diced Chicagoland Ham
- 1 can (1 pound) cream-style corn
- 1 can (1 pound) green lima beans, undrained
- 1 tall can evaporated milk
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Melt butter in kettle.
- Add next 4 ingredients and cook about 5 minutes.
- Add potato, Chicagoland Ham, and 2 cups water.
- Bring to boil, cover and simmer 15 minutes, or until potato is tender.
- Add vegetables, milk, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat well.
